Full-Stack Developer in Paraguay

I'm Ignacio (IGNAX) — a solo full-stack developer based in Asunción, Paraguay. Spain-born, lived in London, now five-plus years into building production software for founders in the US, UK, Spain, and across LATAM. Who am I?

I trained as a developer in Spain, spent three years freelancing in London building websites and SEO, then joined a Web3 startup as full-stack + AI dev. Why work with a Paraguay-based developer?

The reasons clients pick a Paraguay base over a US or EU one are concrete:

What does pricing look like?

Hourly band: $40–$70 USD/hr (Gs 245,000–430,000 / hr at current rate). Project bands depend on the service:

  • SaaS MVPs: $3,000–$15,000 USD / Gs 18M–92M
  • AI automation: $2,000–$10,000 USD / Gs 12M–61M
  • SEO + AEO setup: $1,800–$4,500 USD / Gs 11M–28M

Why hire a developer based in Paraguay instead of one in the US or Europe?

Are you a freelancer or an agency?

Solo freelancer. You work directly with me, no account manager, no junior layer, no handoff. The upside is faster cycles and one owner end-to-end. The downside is bandwidth — I take a small number of clients at a time, so booking ahead matters. If you need an agency-scale team, I subcontract for studios under NDA, white-label.

How does timezone overlap actually work day-to-day?

Paraguay is GMT-3 year-round, no DST. My working day is 8:00–17:00 PYT. That's 7:00–16:00 EST in the US and 13:00–22:00 in Madrid. You get a full overlap with a US East team and a four-hour overlap with European afternoons. Async-first by default, sync calls when they earn their place.

Do you work with clients outside Paraguay?

Most of my clients are outside Paraguay — US, UK, Spain, the rest of LATAM. I bill in USD by default (Wise, Stripe, or bank transfer). Paraguay-based PyMEs are billed in PYG with local invoicing. International contracts use plain-English MSA + SOW templates, your jurisdiction or mine, your call.

What stack do you ship with?

SvelteKit and React on the front; Node.js and Python on the back; Postgres on Supabase or Neon; Cloudflare or Fly.io for hosting; Stripe for billing; OpenAI and Anthropic for AI features. I also work in Solidity and Solana when blockchain is part of the brief. Same architecture pattern travels to Next.js, Django, or .NET if you're committed.
