Local SEO Paraguay
Most Paraguayan SMBs are invisible to Google Maps not because the competition is hard, but because the basics are missing — unclaimed Google Business Profile, no LocalBusiness schema, machine-translated Spanish, zero citations beyond Facebook. I am Ignacio (IGNAX), Spain-born, Paraguay-based, full-stack developer + SEO/AEO specialist. I work in Spanish all day, live in the country, and ship local SEO for clinics, restaurants, professional services, and PyMEs migrating from a stagnant WordPress.
Who is this service for?
- Paraguayan SMBs in Asunción, Ciudad del Este, Encarnación, or anywhere in the country.
- Service-area businesses (plumbers, electricians, mobile clinics, delivery) that need local-pack visibility.
- Professional firms (legal, accounting, dental, medical) where local search drives lead volume.
- LATAM businesses outside Paraguay (AR/CL/MX/CO) — same playbook works.
- Agencies with PY/LATAM accounts who need a bilingual local-SEO specialist on the bench.
If your business has no physical address and no service area (pure-digital SaaS), local SEO is not your channel — start with the SEO + AEO setup instead.
What deliverables do you get?
- Google Business Profile optimization — categories, services, products, photos, posts, Q&A populated. NAP verified against site and citations.
- LocalBusiness JSON-LD on the site, with correct
@type(Restaurant, Dentist, LegalService, etc.), geo coordinates, hours, sameAs links. - Citation pass — listings on Facebook, PáginasAmarillas.com.py, Cylex Paraguay, Encuentra24, and industry-specific directories. NAP consistency verified across all.
- es-PY copy pass — homepage, services pages, about, and contact rewritten in correct local register (no Spain idioms).
- Review-collection setup — Google review permalink, customer email/SMS template, follow-up cadence.
- City pages (when applicable) — separate pages for each city served, with locale-specific copy and LocalBusiness schema.
- Technical fixes — page speed, mobile-friendliness, Core Web Vitals, hreflang if also targeting EN.
- Prioritized P0/P1/P2 fix list with dev-hour estimates.
- 30-minute walkthrough call + written runbook in Spanish.
What tools do you use?
- Google Business Profile + GBP Insights — primary local-SEO channel and dashboard.
- Google Search Console + Google Maps Search — query and rank tracking.
- Google's local search documentation — official reference.
- Schema.org LocalBusiness + subtypes — JSON-LD source.
- PáginasAmarillas.com.py, Cylex Paraguay, Encuentra24 — primary local citation sites.
- Lighthouse + PageSpeed Insights — Core Web Vitals, mobile-friendliness.
- Screaming Frog (free tier) — NAP consistency check across site pages.
- BrightLocal or Whitespark (optional, paid) — only when the citation set needs scaling beyond Paraguay.

How does the process work?
- Discovery call (free, 30 minutes, in Spanish or English). I audit your Google Business Profile and current local rank in advance.
- Written scope + fixed quote within 48 hours.
- Implementation (week 1–2). GBP optimization, LocalBusiness JSON-LD shipped, citation pass, copy rewrites.
- Review-collection setup (week 2). Permalink, email/SMS template, customer-followup workflow.
- Validation + handover (week 2–3). GBP Insights baseline, local-pack rank baseline, runbook in Spanish.
Working hours: Mon–Fri, 8:00–17:00 PYT (GMT-3). Weekends off. Overlap with US East 7:00–16:00 EST, with Madrid 13:00–22:00 CET.
How much does local SEO cost?
Pricing band: $1,500–$3,500 USD (Gs 9.2M–21.5M). The lower half covers a single-location SMB with a clean existing site (GBP optimization + LocalBusiness JSON-LD + citation pass + copy review). The upper half covers multi-location businesses, service-area businesses needing multiple city pages, or sites that also need technical fixes (Core Web Vitals, mobile rebuild). Hourly outside that band: $30–$70 USD/hr. PYG values approximate, recalculated quarterly. Rate as of 2026-05-27: Gs 6,136.82 / USD. Pay in USD or PYG, your choice — I issue facturas with the correct local format.
For agencies — white-label local SEO
Bilingual EN/ES local SEO with PY/LATAM context is a rare specialty. Day-rate option: $240–$560 USD/day under your brand and NDA. I deliver under your domain, the end client never sees me. Common pairing: agency owns the relationship and reporting; I own the GBP work, the JSON-LD, and the es-PY copy quality.
What about ongoing local SEO maintenance?
Most local-SEO setups need a 3–5 hour/month bucket after the initial build: review collection, GBP posts, photo refresh, citation drift fixes, monthly local-pack rank check. I offer this at 15% off hourly, 30-day rolling cancel, no lock-in. The weekly loop is documented in the runbook so your team can run it instead if you prefer.

Does local SEO work in Paraguay, or is the market too small?
It works, and the market is less competitive than US/EU equivalents — which is the opportunity. Most Paraguayan SMBs have an unclaimed or half-filled Google Business Profile, no LocalBusiness schema, and no local citations beyond Facebook. Cleaning that up moves businesses from invisible to the top of the local 3-pack within 30–60 days for niches like clinics, restaurants, services, and PyMEs migrating from WordPress.
I'm not based in Asunción — does this still work?
Yes. Same playbook for Ciudad del Este, Encarnación, Luque, and most LATAM cities. The mechanism is identical: claim and verify Google Business Profile, ship LocalBusiness JSON-LD with the correct geo coordinates, build citations on country-relevant directories, and run a review-collection loop. Latin American cities outside the top 3 are even less saturated than Asunción.
Do I need a physical address?
Google Business Profile requires a verifiable address. For service-area businesses (plumbers, electricians, mobile services) you can hide the address and show only the service area. For storefronts the address must be visible and match what's on the site and in citations exactly — name, address, and phone (NAP consistency) is the single biggest local-SEO factor.
Will you write the Spanish copy in es-PY register?
Yes — that's the point of hiring someone based here. I write in formal es-PY for service pages, conversational es-PY (voseo where it fits) for blog content. No Spain idioms (vale, móvil for phone, ordenador) on Paraguay-targeted pages. For LATAM-wide targeting I use neutral Latin American Spanish — celular, computadora, etc.
What citation directories matter for Paraguay?
Google Business Profile is the only one that moves rankings directly. Beyond that: Facebook Business Page, PáginasAmarillas.com.py, Cylex Paraguay, Encuentra24, and niche directories for your industry (e.g., legal directories for law firms, MercadoLibre Paraguay for retailers). Consistency of NAP across all of them matters more than the quantity. Five clean citations beat thirty inconsistent ones.
Can you handle Google Business Profile for me, or do I need to own it?
You own it. I take Manager-level access during the engagement, optimize the profile (categories, services, photos, posts, Q&A, products), and hand back ownership when done. I do not hold accounts hostage. Reviews are collected via a permalink I set up; you approve the request template before it goes to customers.
Can you white-label this for our agency?
Yes — local SEO Paraguay (or LATAM) is a clean white-label subcontract. Day-rate $240–$560 USD/day under your brand and NDA. I deliver under your domain, you sign off and present to the client. Common pairing: agency owns the relationship; I own the technical layer and the es-PY copy quality. The end client never sees me.
How do you measure local SEO success?
Three signals. (1) Google Business Profile views, searches, and actions (calls, direction requests, website visits) — direct from the GBP dashboard. (2) Local-pack ranking on 5–10 target queries (e.g., 'dentista Asunción', 'abogado Ciudad del Este'). (3) NAP consistency score across the citation set. I baseline these on day one and review monthly.
